In order to become a member of OttawaParamedics.ca, you must first become a paid member of the Professional Paramedic Association of Ottawa at one of the following membership levels.
JOIN NOW - PARAMEDIC & ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP:
- Membership Form - submit with VOID cheque (Paramedic and Associate members only)
- HELP Fund (Paramedic and Associate members only)
- Note: Paramedic & Associate payment is made by Pre-Authorized Debit (VOID cheque)
- Note: Paramedic & Associate members can choose to pay monthly or annually
JOIN NOW - STUDENT & CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP:
- Secure Online Credit Card Payment (Student & Corporate members only)
- Cheque Payment Membership Form (Student & Corporate members only)
- Note: Student & Corporate payment is made by Credit Card or Cheque
Membership forms can either be mailed to the PPAO or submitted to the PPAO box at paramedic headquarters (located near the computers - across from the Duty Officer desk). Thank-you.

Members Only - Shift Exchanger
The Shift Exchanger enables paramedics to find and post shift exchanges with other platoons. There are over 60 new shifts posted every month and 96% of users successfully find a shift exchange.
Members Only - Bonus Subscriptions
We also throw in memberships with the Ontario Paramedic Association, Paramedic Association of Canada, Paramedic Benevolent Society and “Canadian Paramedicine” magazine.
Members Only - Special Event Bookings
With Special Event Bookings, you can reserve an ambulance and all sorts of equipment or supplies for any community event.

The Professional Paramedic Association of Ottawa is responsible for promoting the practice of Paramedicine and ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. We are leaders in the advancement of Paramedicine and achieve our objectives through public awareness, research and education. We lobby for self-regulation under the Regulated Health Professions Act. We also assist in fundraising for community-based charities.
